License tax hike urged: State Rep. Buddy Leach, D-Leesville, proposes raising the state's $3-a-year car tag fee to something more in line with what other states charge - perhaps $12. Liquor sales voted down: Voters in Ward 2 of Grant Parish, including Colfax, voted to keep liquor out of the ward by an overwhelming margin.
