A Cohutta man whose sister said she secretly recorded him making a "confession" of molesting her daughter and two other underage relatives pleaded not guilty in Whitfield County Superior Court on Tuesday - and was allowed to do so then rather than in early December so he could take final exams in college, a court official said.

A man accused of shooting another man - apparently at random - at the Hamilton Medical Center parking deck early Sunday morning has past weapons charges, authorities said.

The Dalton Police Department is asking for information from the public to help find Kenneth Lee Bradley, 55, who is wanted on warrants for burglary, theft, and forgery.

The Whitfield County Sheriff's Office is searching for a Cohutta man who has been missing for several days.

Sunday will be the first that Dalton convenience stores, supermarkets and liquor stores will be able to sell alcoholic beverages.
