Aqueducts in Wayland Part of Trail Access Policy Long prohibited trails, including those along the Cochituate and Weston aqueducts in Wayland, will be open space for the public under a new state policy.

Massachusetts Energy and Environmental Affairs and the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority today announced a policy for public access to open space along aqueducts in 14 communities, including the Sudbury and Cochituate aqueducts in Newton.

The Wayland Baseball and Softball Association held its annual opening day parade, picnic and celebration on Saturday, May 5. Wally the Green Monster led the parade from Wayland Middle School to the Cochituate ball field, while hundreds of players and their parents followed.

Just in time for summer, frozen yogurt is coming to Wayland. According to a post on the Wayland Patch page on Facebook, Wayland residents Lewis and Susan Cohn plan to open Frozen Yogurt Innovations at 131 Main Street in Cochituate this month.
