Coalville needs to protect its water, Echo wants a sewage system and residents who live along Woodenshoe Lane need culinary water.

It's usually difficult to get people excited about a sewage treatment plant. But residents of Coalville are looking forward to the new facility because they faced the prospect of losing the sewer treatment plant they already have.

After six years of fighting for funding, land and approvals, Coalville finally has all the pieces in place to build a new wastewater treatment plant.

The new Coalville library official opened on Wednesday in the old hospital. The new building is almost twice the size of the old library has child, teen and adult sections.

Interstate 80 is scheduled to close in Summit County during the next two weekends as crews demolish and replace bridges over the Weber River near Echo Junction.
