Why don't they just stop truckers from coming down the US82? Let's see, we've had a frozen chicken truck, a lumber truck, a cotton-seed truck and a watermelon truck. I see trucks hauling cattle all the time coming down 82 so I'm sure that will be a future one. Imagine that dead or maimed cattle all over the road. Wonder if that would actually get NMDOT to consider no more trucks?

And how do you intend to get goods in and out of Cloudcroft and the rest of the area up there? Helecopter?

Years ago when my father was a firefighter at Holloman, a truck hauling jet fuel crashed ran off the highway just above the tunnel. That was the late 1960s or early 1970s.

They have been spreading human bodies all over the road for years. I doubt NMDOT would do anything more for cows.
Bakkee. If you were aware of the ongoing fight to stop truck traffic, you would know that local traffic would be exempt. They can also travel to and from Cloudcroft and never come down between the 16 and the 1 mile markers! That is the area they are wrecking vehicles and killing people!

There are a lot more passenger vehicle accidents along there than truck accidents.

How about if we just stopped giving licenses to people with IQ's below 80?
