10,000 Without Power in Northstate
There are almost 10,000 people without power across the Northstate as of Friday morning according to PG&E. Most of the outages are in Butte County: Magalia: 3,500 Oroville: 1,100 Berry Creek: 1,000 Forbestown: 330 Clipper Mills: 250 In Shasta County, 2,100 people are without power in the Burney area.

Oroville logging company snags $300,000 federal grant
Although the logging industry is said to be tenuous, a local company will keep busy for the next three years due to a $300,000 federal grant awarded recently for a project that will reportedly turn trees cut for forest management into useable energy.
A recent family gathering provided the opportunity for 92-year-old Geraldine Jones of Chico to hold her newest great-great-grandchild, Porter Chappell of Yuba City.
