Pole fire causes electric outage for 1,000
Crews from Cleona and Annville's Union Hose fire companies and fire police were dispatched at 7:38 p.m. Monday to West Penn Avenue and North Mill Street.
The first incident was reported at 1:19 a.m. by people who told police they were in a vehicle waiting at a red light on North Seventh Street at Lehman Street when two men got out of a gray sedan behind them and approached their vehicle on both sides.
Jessica Gruber, 24, of Lebanon, was charged with simple assault after she allegedly threw a plate that struck her live-in partner in her face, causing injury, in the 300 block of North Eighth Street at 6:05 p.m. Saturday, police said.
