the jury found him not guilty of attempted murder.
Not guilty of attempted murder! This is the key fact in this story. The da lost again. They could have done a plea bargain for what they ended up with and not wasted the jury time, tax money and more. This is Hopkins and his underling trainee team at work. Waste. Just like in the sex abuse case where underling let the bad guy off easy, the da has press released a loss. The d Hopkins hopes and thinks the public is too stupid to notice. Check your facts. What sentence does attempted voluntary manslaughter carry versus attempted murder? What is this man facing for shooting another person and then running away? Funny how the da's press release doesn't say! Good job da. You lost another big one. |

They like to see their name in lights like their boss.

that negative DA vibe. We gonna get the probation to write a good report with anonymous letters cuz no one told us No. Welcome to the Q bro - try a gang on for size.

Off the streets for 15yr, how nice is that.

Now there is something to remember, Thanks,That will come in handy. "But that's ok, in America even the ignorant get to say what they want."

Could be as low as three. Ain't over until the loser da screws up he sentencing. Not bad for shooting someone. Not exactly tough on crime, is it? |
Lyn - no it isn't exactly tough on crime. It is rather embarrassing for us citizens tho. Just got my jury notice in mail - can't wait to stand up and tell the Judge, and all the other potential jurors in the room that NO, I cannot serve as I have NO faith in either DA or SO and believe that the right to a jury trial exists because our founding fathers knew jury nullification would come in handy as government grew beyond acceptable boundaries.

Hey poser - yet another new name? Dang, you must really loath yourself. Not that anyone on these posts would try to talk you out of that oh so correct frame of mind.

For those of you who think our DA office is a loser, in 2007 (the last year for which figures are available) Lake County sent 296 people per 100,000 population to prison. That was the second highest per capita rate in California (King County sent 365 per 100K) Mendo sent 113 per 100K, Napa 130.5 per 100K, Colusa 169 per 100K, and Sonoma a whopping 98.8 per 100k. If you look at the figures Lake is usually in the top 5 per capita prison commitments. If the DA is such a loser why is this county consistently sending more people to prison every year then any neighboring county and most counties in California? I got the figures off the CDCR website by the way.

check your facts. Most of them are violations of parole or probation because the da did not do the job right the first time and put them away for longer.
This article says an old guy was pistol whipped and shot in the chest. If that isn't attempted murder what is? DA couldn't prove it because they are incompetent and poorly trained by Hopkins. |
Is it true that Lake County’s DA authorizes parolees from around California to be relocated in Lake County? If so, this may have a great deal to do with those repeat offenders I've read about. |

If Hopkins had his way, Dinius would be in prison. I am not necessarily comforted by the fact this county sends the second highest number of people per capta to prison.

Josh, you are just making stuff up. I gave you a source, the CDCR website. Care to supply a source for your blather?
The DA has nothing to do with parole. CDCR doesn't ask him where to put parolees. If you can come up with a good objective measure to determine the effectiveness of a DA's office, swell, please share. I suggest "didn't convict a guy of everything he was charged with" is a pretty useless. |

Got mine to and sent a note to the Judge who just happened to be the same Judge as on the Dinius Case. Told him the Dinius Trial left a bad taste in my mouth with the DA's office and wouldn't trust anything they had to present to me so long as Hopkins and Mitchell remained in office. He excused me with a hardship lol

Thankful that this creep is off the streets. He is one of the biggest drug dealers around the lake.
Only problem is, his brothers will now take over his turf and sell the drugs and do the crimes. Send them all back to Richmond. |
Due time they too will go down! They are out of the Oaks now so keep on pushin.

I too am suspicius of DA's but would not use that as an excuse to duck jury duty unless I was really scared of the cops. There are too many "law and order" people that will even trust someone like Perdock. Good and true people are needed on juries.
I got a jury notice on the Dinius trial and I couldn't serve. I have LOST ALL FAITH in our law enforcement and courts. Small wonder. |
Still at it arsewipe? Are you still in your mother's basement? Still pretending to be human? |
