Emergency crews responded to a fire on Ilex Lane in Clay on Wednesday morning. The fire in Clay's Bayberry area was put out around 8:30 a.m. The home was heavily damaged, but no one was injured during the incident.

Word from Libya this morning that Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, the only person convicted in connection with the PanAm 103 bombing over Lockerbie, Scotland, has died.A al-Megrahi was doing time in a Scottish Jail for the December, 1988 terrorist attack, but he was released in 2009 for humanitarian reasons.A He had prostate cancer.
