PERSON COUNTY, N.C. — The Chase City man reported missing by his family early last week was found dead on Friday in Caswell County, N.C. Law enforcement officials say they are investigating the case as a homicide and one female has been arrested and two other persons were arrested on related charges.

MECKLENBURG COUNTY - A two-day search for a well-known South Hill physician ended Tuesday morning with the discovery of his body in a creek where he had apparently been fishing, officials said.

Occoneechee State Park in Clarksville will host the 17th annual Native American Heritage Festival on May 9. Gates open at 10 a.m. with the grand entry scheduled for noon.
