A vote against schools is a vote against kids
|

|
The voters aren't devil advocates :
Perhaps they are only looking out for the children's futher { in debtness } Seems to me if the officals at the school were really concerned for the children they would have made sure the school never got in the shape it seems to be in now, and IF the maintance man was really told not to make repairs when needed then who ever told him that should be fired. Most likely they will have another election for x-amounts of money to do the repairs sure hope they get someone that really knows what they are doing rather than push a pencil. |

Hey Country Girl#2 the lies you spread smell like #2! I read where they spent 28K on that ole school. Sounds like they must be doing something about maintaining it.Quit coming on here and educating us with your knowledge which seems to be limited to stuff you made up.You not know of which you speak.

those for the new school lost now mind bend that |

#1, I have not spred any lies and for your information may know more about what is going on with the school system than some that pretend to. You sound like one that most likely voted for a new school and lost your vote. But that is the way things go when people want what is best for the children. And that is to repair the school that is a part of Clarksville's History as well as keeping the futher generation from paying a debt they had nothing to do with. You know if Carpenters could build that building back in the 40's and it has survived this long what makes you think Carpenters can't do the same now day's ? Our school has a history and I am very proud of that it should never be torn down like the old Fire Station was and the Train Station was, Just think what a blessing that would be if people could still view those buildings. |

2 things...first more than likely you dont work there nor do you have a kid that goes to school there...2nd... Tell me where CISD is going to get the money remodel that grand old building thats 2 blocks long... Oh yeah and the lie you spread about the school district not maintaining is a lie..because they have..Oh Yeah this aint no historical tour, we are talking about educating kids not taking some trip down memory lane.. Also I figure you pay about 200.00 a year in taxes..trailers houses on a small lot dont cost much Cville!

For your information Mindbender, I have seen my Children ,Grand children, graduate from there, and even have Great grandchildren going there.
And at no time have I said that it has never been maintained , re-read what I said,{ IF the maintance man Was told Not to make repairs when needed } Your figures are way off in the amount of TAXES I pay every year and it certainly is not on a trailor house,But for your information several lots, houses and acres. So don't think I don't know what I'm talking about. As far as repairs! it can be done a lot cheaper than the millions that a new school would cost. I also know educating children is a precious gift for all students and yes we are traveling down memory lane because if our fore fathers built this school this sound then WHY can't carpenters repair it back to good as New ? Do you not trust the carpenters now days ? Let me say this about the subject , it is much easier to get into debt than get out of debt, and I for one have surely payed my portion of taxes in this town and county. Say what ever makes you feel good but a cruel hateful spoken person never really knows what is really going on in the world because they are to wrapped up in Self wants.So think of me whatever you will but I will never as well as others ever change our minds about A NEW SCHOOL. |

Mindbender, If you are so for a New School no one should have to tell you how the repairs are paid for that you should already know??
You know I may be a grandmother and I am sure proud God has blessed me and my family so much. This knit picking stuff you are trying to get started is as much of bull as the thought of a new school when every person is strugleing to just feed their familys .And not considering the hardship on others as you are an example of that is unbelievable. Now I have said all I intend to say about this matter so you can write what ever pleases you to do so but I don't even want to talk to anyone that seems to be as shallow minded as you.I sleep real well at night do you ? Thanks Man from Nantucket : you hit the nail on the head. |

Hey dude--Get over it. |
||||

All you non tax payers that wanted a $14,000,000 showplace, your children are not nailed to the ground in Clarksville Texas. Move to Paris or Dallas so they can have a nice building. You will not be missed here and the welfare is better there.

Private enterprise is what builds communities and cities. You can't tax yourself into prosperity. |
