Piper says defending case cost taxpayers $30,000-plus By JAKE LOWARY * The Leaf-Chronicle * October 31, 2009 A multimillion dollar civil lawsuit filed against the city by the Clarksville Firefighter Association and others was dismissed Friday, but Mayor Johnny Piper said the city has spent more than $30,000 in taxpayer money on the case.
