For the second time in two years, thieves made off with a large number of items from the old gravel pit on Clarksville Road, near Clarksville, according to the Clinton County Sheriff's Office which is investigating the theft.

Clinton County dispatchers received a 911 call around 10 a.m. Friday morning from Powell's son, saying that his father was inside of a SUV that was in a creek off of SR 350, just west of Clarksville and near the Warren-Clinton county line.

A man found in a vehicle under water on Ohio 350 in Clarksville is dead, according to his son, who declined to give his name to Middletown Journal staff at the scene.

Catherine A. Wilson, 92, of Clarksville, passed away Friday evening, Jan. 13, 2012, at Continental Manor in Blanchester.
