Ex-Marine Missing in Florida

A former Marine and Clark County resident who was wounded in Iraq has been missing for nearly a week in Florida.

"If anyone thinks war is just some time overseas, then a "free ride" to college or back to home, back to normal, you are sadly mistaken! And the deaths reported are just one sad part of the overall picture of policing the world. Many, many lives are affected here too in a disruptive way. I pray for this Marine and his family!" - Editor

A Conservative Nightmare: Republican Nominee, John McCain::By John Hawkins

Mike Huckabee's campaign manager Ed Rollins has been ceaselessly pilloried on the Right for saying, "It's gone.

The breakup of what was the Reagan coalition -- social conservatives, defense conservatives, anti-tax conservatives -- it doesn't mean a whole lot to people anymore." While my gut impulse is to disagree with Rollins, the rapid rise of John McCain, the man who has done more to thwart Reagan conservatives than any other Republican over the last few years, is evidence that Rollins is right -- or at a minimum, evidence that movement conservatives have been marginalized in the Republican Party. Amongst grassroots conservatives, John McCain's name is an expletive -- and for good reason -- because he has made a name for himself by knifing conservatives time and time again for the amusement of his liberal pals in the mainstream media. McCain supports amnesty for illegal aliens, was behind the Gang of 14, is a gun grabber, opposed the Bush tax cuts, ran roughshod over the Constitution with McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Reform, opposes a Constitutional amendment to protect marriage, was rumored to be considering switching parties multiple times, talked with John Kerry about being his Vice-President, lines up with the global warming alarmists, wants to close Gitmo, wants to coddle captured terrorists -- you can go on and on with this. In essence, John McCain is hawkish, he's fiscally conservative, he has a solid pro-life voting record that is at odds with his previously stated opposition to overturning Roe v. Wade ("I would not support repeal of Roe v. Wade." --John McCain, 1999) -- and on everything else, he's a Democrat. ................... So here's a little "straight talk" for you: having John McCain lose in 2008, because he's pro-amnesty, would probably scare Congress so badly that they wouldn't even consider voting on a path to citizenship before 2013, while a John McCain victory would signal to Congress that they can go ahead and proceed with amnesty, because conservatives don't care about the issue very much.........More

LP: DHS report: 270,000 Indians in U.S. illegally

The number of undocumented immigrants from India increased by 125 percent over the last six years, jumping from 120,000 in 2000 to 270,000 in 2006.

....... Steven Camarota, director of research at the Center for Immigration Studies, said he’s seen no evidence that the United States should let in more skilled workers from places such as India. “Traditionally we haven’t thought of India as a country of illegal immigration, but we’re going to have to maybe reconsider that now,” said Camarota, noting that many undocumented immigrants from India are highly educated, unlike most of their counter parts from Mexico and Latin America. “If we want to have less illegal immigration from India, then we have to think about strategies that focus on the monitoring of temporary visa holders and interior enforcement strategies.” Camarota, who said stricter work-site enforcement is needed, criticized visa enforcement and border security in the U.S. “I don’t know anybody who thinks we’re doing enough to enforce the law” to prevent undocumented immigration, he said. more about this.......http://www.libertypost.org/cgi-bin/readart.cgi?ArtNum=203218

Liberty Counsel News Release October 2, 2007

A federal district court has dismissed a lawsuit that the ACLU of Kentucky filed against Harlan County regarding a display in the public schools that includes the Ten Commandments.

Finally! Some good news in hearing the ACLU had to drop a suit! Young people and many others have been brainwashed to believe our great nation was not founded on Christian principles, when in fact it most certainly was! Before someone opposed to the facts starts babbling about what they "know", they should go back and study their American History from the beginning and with an open mind. At one time, even all our Colleges were Christian or of some religion. Try to find a "Father" or contributor to our Constitution who did not make several references as to our COUNTRY'S dependence on God. Then in our Public Buildings, on through Monuments like Washington's and on and on....... in the cornerstone, or on the roof and even our coins showed our reverence to God. But many professors (with an evil agenda) would have you believe otherwise. Certainly we are not to be forced into a religion or have a "State" religion and there is provided a separation OF State and Church, but NOT FROM RELIGION! But to whatever mindset anyone may have about God and HIS influence and guidance in Government affairs, there can be no denying that as America pulls away from God, the weaker we have become as a nation. No one is being forced into a belief, but we that depend on God for our being, do not want to be deprived of his guidance either. And as free moral agents, created by God to make our own decisions, right or wrong, we deserve to be reminded of him! And until eternity when all will be accountable for our deeds, I am pretty sure the devil and his followers would rather not be reminded. Even if I suffered from a reprobate mind, I would shudder at any attempt to mock God. "Don't like our Flag, move to a country where you can respect theirs" Don't like to see a reminder of God, turn your head, no one is forcing you to pray, but let me worship or pay respect or revere as I choose!"
