Cinderella Project performs prom makeovers
Daily News Mirah Stacy, a senior at Mingo Central High School is pictured striking a pose following her magical transformation by volunteers with the "Cinderella Project." The dress worn by Stacy was donated by Diane Luensmann, the Public Relations Director for U.S. Congressman Nick J. Rahall.
"I was astonished, thrilled and shocked," laughed April Toler-Mullins, as she spoke of a phone call she received regarding the Cinderella Project that will be providing prom dresses and accessories for a number of local students.
Laura Beth Fraley portrays 'Pollyanna' in a School On the Rock Homeschool Co-op production of 'Pollyanna.' Performances will be held March 22, 23 and 24, at the First Baptist Church in Vandalia.

The dates for area high school proms are only a few weeks away, and the "Cinderella Project" that was created to assist those unable to afford the hefty price tag attached to prom gowns and accessories are requesting help from the community, in order to make the dreams of numerous students become a reality.
