Estevan García closed his wonderful café at Agua Fría across from Santuario de Guadalupe last year!
It happened suddenly. Now the place houses "A la Mesa", and Estevan's waiter, Jimmy da Carrot, works for the new owner (I hear it is operated by two women). If anyone knows where Estevan went, and if he has a new eatery, please spill it here. I think the "Associated Content" piece linked up above is based on the old place--which was a favorite of mine.

Of course it's a review of the old place--which went the way of the dinosaur about a year ago. The writer gives the publishing date of that obsolete review as May, 2009. I was engaging in wishful thinking, hoping there was a new Café San Estevan someplace. The review showing up here as new is bullpucky.
Apparently, "Ass-ociated Content" dishes up crocks of crusty ol' crud. No, I won't be fooled again by 'em!
