Good job, but when are they going after the major crime syndicates? Do they want to or would that dry up business for the courts? Go after the source and maybe the taxpayers won't have to keep paying for all the costs of incarcerations and for appointed attorneys, counsilers..oh, then they wouldn't have so many jobs and their unions wouldn't like that. I was listening to some police cadets talking at a coffee shop. One said that the trainer told them when talking about gangs, that they were a gang too. Great!

You're so right moose, they shouldn't even pull people over for expired tags and a bad brake light. And if they do happen to pull someone over with 2 guns, meth and no license, they should let them go and focus on the "big boys" right? Gimme a break.

You must work in law enforcement? I said "good job". I think you didn't understand where I was going. We can have a safe society again, if the public is educated as to why the crime is flourishing. Profit, both by those bringing/selling the dope and the rest, and especially those in law enforcement and the rest of the justice system who's jops depend on it. How can you deny this? Geeze! Wouldn't it wonderful if we could once again have a limited government, and the lay-offs and closurres were buerucrates instead of so many working in the private sector. We can! Thanks for your response.

Several posts making off-topic assumptions have been deleted. It is inappropriate to make unfounded claims about the citizenship status and ethnicity about one of the subjects in this story unless there is factual evidence.

As always, Topix Terms of Service allow the moderator to remove inappropriate posts. Surely, frequent posters must be aware of this policy by now.

And as always, thank you very much for your consideration in this matter.

Major crime syndicates??? Is it 1930 again? Crime in Butte county is not very organized Mr. Moose, come on now. Crime in Butte county is loosely organized at best. Even Nortenos, Surenos, BCG, Angels et al. operate in loose hierarchies -cut off the head, the gangs grow 5 more to replace them. Send a gang leader to prison? He becomes a shot-caller, more powerful than he ever was on the street.

You don't know what you are talking about. Crime syndicates, blaaahahaha. wake up Mr. Moose. The mafia is not sending the thiefs through Butte County windows. They are called tweakers. The Russian mob is not flooding Chico steets with cocaine. Our primary drug problem is home grown -produced by right her in Butte County by hundreds (thousands?) of meth cooks.

Please try again. Syndicates. geesh.

Thanks Ryan for your hard work and dilligence in protecting the liberal orthodoxy. Your role as a watchdog should be commended. Don't despair when people point out that these comment forums are a virtual sewer of "unfounded claims" and "off-topic assumptions", no matter what the topic. Your role as defender of Political Correctness in the face of an ignorant proletariat is inspiring. Keep it up !!

Does having a gun tucked in your pants near your wee-wee make you a better driver?

I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm just trying to do my job with utmost professionalism, not to be part of some vast, left-wing conspiracy.

If you are caucasian you are a monority in the state of California right now. That isn't a racist statement. Thats the statistical truth. I can't remember where I read it though. Maybe it was the ER.

Being insulted on topix happens all the time God. Dont let it get to you. Ive found with Ryan if you stay somewhat on topic and dont bring the race issue into the mix that he lets you say what you want. He has deleted some of my comments when I re-flame back on some comments, but the majority of the time he is fair and consistant.

sorry there are no majority or minority. we are all human beings. Bigotry and raciallism is very alive the more you go up northern California. How sad we are as a human race. There are good and bad people in every race. I judge people on how nice they are. Not their accent or color.

I would appreciate it if you could search your forum for all of the racist comments and delete them. They are never appropriate. Some people put * or space words or misspell them so you can't catch them. But they are very offensive. Too bad this can't just be a place for intelligent discussion on issues.
