Yeah, what a great opportunity for Realtor Georgie Willis Bellin to make a bunch of money! Way to go Georgie! Too bad that mess on Riviera Court didn't work out.

"Every agenda for regular meetings shall provide an
opportunity for members of the public to directly address the legislative body on any item of interest to the public, before or during the legislative body’s consideration of the item." Brown Act

It appears Mr. Snellings continues to violate the Brown Act.

well, I guess this indicates just how much interest there is in our county general plan.

yes, Snellings is running this thing as though he works for somebody besides the tax payers of Butte County. I'd also question the make-up of the "citizen's" committee - too many well-heeled realtors, developers and water buyers.

I complained that Maureen Kirk was taking too much money from outside interests, and one of the first things she did as supervisor was name her campaign manager,Tovey Geizentanner, a guy who just moved here after being involved in a controversial land deal in Yolo County, to the General Plan "citizen's" oversight committee.

Geizentanner was one of the players in the Conaway Ranch deal - google it. A group of developers, lawyers, etc, bought a huge old ranch in Yolo County in order to sell the water to developers in Southern California. The county tried to fight them through eminent domain. I don't know what happened, they still may be fighting about it. But during the fight, Geizentanner was pushing water transfer friendly candidates in counties all over the north state.

Now, thanks to Mo Kirk, he is on our general plan advisory committee. That's the kind of people that make up the committee - including realtor Georgie Willis Bellin. People who stand to make a big profit.
