People forced out of their homes by flash flooding are back home this morning. Around 7:00 Monday night, a sudden burst of rain and hail forced Flat Creek over its banks.

Investigators said the crash happened at 1:45 p.m. at the corner of River Oak Road and Short Cut Road.

Authorities say the crash happened at around 1:45 p.m. on Sunday afternoon when a minivan crossed the center line and struck a motorcycle head-on near Chesnee.

Survivors include her husband, Rusty L. A stray cat discovered in Chesnee has tested positive for rabies, the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control said.
