my father was there. when the car was still in motion on its side it was five yards away from him. he also helped get the person out of the car.

We all know how this will turn out.
John Cobb? Sounds suspiciously like a farmer to me. He shouldn't be driving that tractor on the highway. |
Guess he should of hung up his phone
bet they were speeding ??????
Bingo. I wish there were highway cameras to show what went wrong here. |
Wow
This person could have died or killed others. What's wrong with you people? |
What is wrong with you? I have driver down 495 for 40++++ years. I have driver thousands of miles on it in all kind of weather conditions. Why hasn't my car flipped over? If bad driving and speeding was a factor we want to know. If it can be proven he was driving in a dangerous way I wish there was a law where the insurance companies could refuse the claim. We all pay for the "cool" divers (maniacs) and their act. |

"driven down" and "cool drivers" my mistakes.
I don't even believe bad weather is an excuse. It is how you drive in that bad weather that causes the accidents. I recall a trooper friend telling how cars will be on there sides in storms and the driver will say "the road is covered with snow". The trooper told me he asked one of them how it was hundreds of cars were going by checking out the accident and none of them ended up on their roof. He told me he had cited numerous drivers in storms for speeding despite the fact some were only going 45 in a 65 zone. The 45 was still "too fast for conditions". |

Get over yourself DAN. None of us know how the driver lost control. It could have been a medical condition. Could have been speeding, phone etc. Lets get the facts before we accuse. The rude comments just goes to show how negative people are. Always assume things before we get the facts. Good for you and how much you drive on 495. We're all so proud of you. |
excuse me but have you seen these people drive? well I have and they drive like maniacs they need to slow down better late then never I say |
You have seen these specific people driving like maniacs? Did you report them? |
Get your facts correct before you accuse people of speeding. It could have been some a##hole talking on the phone and cut this person off. |
Then you should have put down your phone. |
She's indian |
My comment wasn't rude. Personally I find it rude to lecture people as you are doing. Cars going down the highway do not flip over without a reason. |
how? |
Speeding and being a bad driver. Thousands of other cars went down the same road that day. Why didn't they end up flipped over? |
I saw the accident. The woman driving the Accord didn't see the traffic slow down. The mazda was at the back of a line of traffic and ended up getting rear ended pretty bad after the Accord swerved, hit him and flipped.

There was an accident in Bourne Mass September 26th of this year. A Honda Accord, driven by Lt Jeffrey Pierce, 50, of Dennis, an off duty Mass State Trooper, rear ended a pick up truck, flipping the truck over several times. Pierce admitted to consuming 2 or 3 beers earlier in the day, and two empty beer cans were found in his car.
The police took a very hard line with Pierce and they charged him with following too closely. Needless to say, they determined that alcohol was not to blame. Later on, when an investigation was performed because it appeared that once again a cop was being given special treatment; 2 Mass EMT's who responded to the scene and were asked to testify against the trooper in a potential DUI charge, refused to testify. So, Pierce recieved the usual light slap on the wrist that the police use when one of their own breaks the law. Business as usual for our lawmen! |
