Is that the same street that the fire house is closed? I'm not too familar with the area. It is what I was told while having breakfast at Einstein Bagels.

According to Google Maps, it's just outside the Center.

Ok, thanks! It has to be the one that they were talking about. I guess it was closed because of money. It's a shame.

The fire station on North Road in the center is closer to this location then the one on Acton Road near the intersection of Proctor. There is probably little to no response time difference.

LOL, the house was less than 5 minutes walking from the Fire Station and they had to call in all surrounding towns.
What a JOKE......

It doesn't matter how many trucks you have it is how many men. You have no idea ow labor intensive it is to fight a fire. Calling in other towns is pretty standard unless you live in a big city.

I was a Firefighter in NC, the amount of men/women make a huge difference, esp now a days each engine in smaller towns only carry two people, lowell could have up to 3 or 4. For a house fire you need a pump operator, and at least two men on 1 attack line going into the house. And for back up, geez, search and rescue, ladder truck to get on the roof to open the roof up, firefighters as first responding EMT's. The list could go on and on. There needs to be a way to have more EMT's and firefighters in each town. Maybe budget cuts from those who make these idiotic decisions to cut EMT's and FF jobs.

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Aquarius

You're eager to have a good time, and nothing less will do; you'll soon put your work to one side and start to enjoy yourself instead. If you're going to a social event that you've been looking forward to for ages, try to keep a firm grip on your expectations in case reality falls far short of them. Be especially realistic if you've got high hopes of love and romance.
