Detective Jason Grant, a 21-year veteran of the Corsicana Police Department, has announced his intention to run for County Commissioner of Precinct 1. Grant will run as a Republican in hopes of replacing Kit Herrington, who has announced he will not seek re-election. The primaries are in March, followed by the general election in November of 2012.
