A shallow magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported Saturday morning 32 miles from Malibu, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A shallow magnitude 3.5 earthquake was reported Tuesday afternoon 21 miles from Channel Islands Beach, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Three girls were injured Saturday night after a suspected hit-and-run crash at Silver Strand Beach near the intersection of Santa Monica Drive and Victoria Avenue in Oxnard.

The incident was reported about 7:14 p.m. near the intersection of Santa Monica Drive at Victoria and initial reports indicate two children were struck by a vehicle that left the scene.
