A CHANNAHON man was charged with DUI by Minooka police about 5:30 a.m. Sunday, June 14.

A 61 year old mother shot by her son in Channahon yesterday has been pronounced dead at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center due to a gunshot wound to her head.

CHANNAHON – Reports were unfounded earlier today that a second person has died as a result of an apparent murder-suicide by shotgun in the home of the shooter.

The mother of a student beaten at the South Campus of Minooka Community High School has filed suit in circuit court, seeking release of the reports.

One week after human remains washed up on the shore of the Des Plaines River, sparking speculation they could be those of missing Will County women Stacy Peterson or Lisa Stebic, another grisly discovery was made farther north.
