Must be the same re-pubic-cans who elected and then re-elected Bush. Too bad some have to be told how to think and can't think things through for themselves.

Not quite correct. Republicans seem to have a desire and ability to read and comprehend the Constitution and Bill of Rights, thereby shunning the Marxist leaning attitudes of the present administration. History has shown time and again that when the Gov.'t tries to run the show it spells disaster (Social security, Medicare, Welfare). History also shows that after 9/11/01, Pres. Bush successfully defended this country against more terrorists attacks. So if nothing else, thank the former Pres. for allowing you to sleep safely at night, and stop trying re-write the Constitution and Bill of Rights, the same that have shaped the country and stood the test of time....something the current administration will never accomplish.

Well, Mr. Plum was certainly not the most qualified candidate for the position. The only thing this clearly demonstrates is your qualifications or a criminal past do not matter as much as ypur party affiliation in our area. The people have spoken and what I've heard them say is quite nauseating.

One of the main reasons Carol Redding lost is none other than her husband. She told him to keep quiet and stay away from her campaign way too late.

What a dark Dark day for Franklin County Politics...when you can be a criminal and "stick it to the Man" and still get elected to a polictical posts....its shows exactly how corrupt most politicians are, I wouldn't be proud of that if I was a poliyician anywhere in pennsylvania...I'd be embarrased......I will not personally step one foot in that office where that criminal is "acting" like a judge.....

It just shows that the brain of many voters is smaller than the letter "R' behind their candidate's name.

Carol Redding is partly correct about why she lost-if she would have been any good, she would not be a registered Democrat and support the things that party does.

You can sleep better at night b/c your redneck friends have voted a criminal into office? Yea, that makes sense.

Stupid people, you will regret this decision. Electing a criminal, pervert to a position of judicial authority!!! UNREAL, stupid, stupid, stupid. I am embarrassed to be a republican today. To let your party lines supersede a irrational, immoral decision. Sad day for Franklin County voters. It will be hard to respect this perverted loser!!!

Watch how fast Sheriff Dane Anthony makes nice with the Franklin County Republican Leadership. He put his tail on the line for Redding, and now it is between his legs. I bet he sends them all really nice X-mas cards this year.

This is absolutely disgusting.

I have always had fundamental differences in philosophy with my Republican friends, but I never, ever thought that Franklin County Republicans could be so incredibly stupid as to elect a man who has been arrested for DUI, bad checks, and soliciting a prostitute for judge.

But you have, and it's very sad.

You have compromised the integrity of your party and your community and have elected a man who is a slap in the face to the office of judge.

You get what you deserve here, and I suppose the ignorant hicks of northern Franklin County deserve a criminal as a judge.

In Franklin County, all you need is that "R". It doesn't matter about anything else.

This, this thinking right here, is what caused this abomination. Ted Kennedy was not running for judge here and had absolutely nothing to do with this race, yet morons like you have made this some sort of Republican vs Democrat race when really it was honesty and experiece with a "D" against a moron criminal "R".

You have chosen a moron criminal over honestly and experiecen. Congratulations Republicans, you must be very proud.

I for one personally have known mr. Plum for many many years I think the people elected him because they are tired of the "better than thou" attitude of higher officals.
They want someone who knows whats going on with ordinary everyday people. If that makes the people in his district rednecks well it could be worse. The majority rules and they did, so let it go. Everyone deserves a second chance. I was always told people who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones.Give the man a chance.I dont care if he is republican or democrat its the person he is that matters.
