White Co. wind farm on target

Construction is right on schedule for Phase one of the wind farm near Chalmers. But Horizon Wind Energy Project Manager Martin Culik said the very reason why they're building the farm can make construction a little tricky.

Highway 43 shut down for gas pocket

State Road 43 is closed in White County near the town of Chalmers. White County Emergency Management said INDOT workers hit a gas pocket around 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 2. State Road 43 is closed in White County between County Road 600 South near Chalmers to the U.S. 24 intersection in Reynolds.
