COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC A man from Chadbourn will spend up to three decades in jail followed by five years of supervised release for crimes he committed in Evergreen in 2010.

In November, John Moore, 22, pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a felon.

CHADBOURN, NC Officers with the Chadbourn Police Department say they've solved the largest gun theft crime in the town's history.

The Postal Service says the changes go into effect May 18. Offices in Castle Hayne, Chadbourn, Clarkton, Holly Ride, Lake Waccamaw and Winnabow will close at noon on Wednesdays and will be closed on Saturdays.

Some area post offices will close early on Wednesdays and completely on Saturdays, starting May 18th, according to a spokesperson for the U.S. Postal Service.
