The Wayne County commissioners this week upheld a demolition order from the county's building inspections department on a mobile home in the Green Meadows Mobile Home Park between Richmond and Centerville.
<![CDATA[MILTON, Ind. - Loren D. "Red" Hobson, also known as "Bud", age 79, of Milton, died Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Ambassador Healthcare. Born August 7, 1934, in Bruceville, Indiana, to Neal Hobson and Dorothy Cole Hobson, he was a resident of Milton for most of his life. "Red" attended Bruceville High School. He started driving a delivery truck for Richmond Industrial Supply and worked his way up to be General Manager. "Red" retired after 38 years from Richmond Industrial Supply. He also worked as a bulk delivery driver for Hills Floral Products and was a delivery driver for Jack Daggy Flowers. "Red" was an avid golfer and former member of the FOP. He liked woodworking and was a Centerville volunteer fireman for many years. Survivors include his wife, Rose Hansen Hobson to whom he was married in 1997; children, Ed (Connie) Hobson and Bob (Joy) Hobson, both of Richmond, Garry (Wanda) Hobson of Centerville, April (Kelly) Runkle of Milton, and Dale (Doug) Anderson of New Paris, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Randy (Sharon) Hobson of Bicknell, Indiana; sisters, Carol Gaines of Rogersville, Tennessee, Betty (Larry) Corbin of Linton, Indiana, Judy Mayor of Greenfield, Indiana, and Marilyn Stokley of Bicknell, Indiana; nieces; nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Nevil Hobson; and sister, Martha Norman. Visitation for Loren "Red" Hobson will be from 12 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville, IN 47330. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen Abernathy officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
