A Difficult Fire, Despite The Rain
“The [serious] damage really was limited to the roof”
W. Michael McCulley credits a steady rain and a small army of firefighters for stopping a noontime blaze atop his 87 Wig Hill Road home.
McCulley said flames were visible Friday from the roof as friends and relatives returned to the house after a memorial service in Centerbrook for his father-in-law.

No injuries were reported.
