How many abuse articles have been printed in the MC in the past couple of month!!!! Many! But it is only those which involve Catholic clergy get the most press. Catholic clergy who teach in private schools and do these evil things get the "whole Church" sued. Teachers who teach in public schools or universities ... no such treatment? I agree all are evil. I don't agree the Catholic Church must pay, while State Education Systems, Other private institutions, Teachers Unions, etc. do not get the same civil suit treatment. This is not justice for the person injured. This is an injustice against the Catholic Church. Once again, these are reprehensible actions and no one can defend them. These men should be punished. But the Church is NOT responsible for their free actions any more than any employer is responsible for the actions of their employees. Stop these irrational suits! Or begin them with other organizations too. No double standards in justice!

My brother is on the Board of Education in Orange County California. He has fired teachers. They have a no tolerance law where any teacher putting a hand on a student is automatically dismissed without question.

A priest is sworn to serve as a man of God. Years of study and years to consider their vow of chastity. If the Catholic Church were responsible enough to excommunicate these deviate priests there would be little if any litigation. In Florida a popular media-known priest is seen in the arms of his girlfriend on the sunny beach. He left the church to marry the girl but the damage of the broken vow leaves question on the fallacy of celibacy. The church wanted him transferred. Catholic policy on tolerance of sexually deviate behavior is disgusting. The policy on covering up deviate behavior is UNGODLY!

The suits against the church are generally not for the abuse, but for the lack of adequate response and systematic cover up once the abuse was known to the church. This lack of response and cover up put others at further risk. THAT certainly justifies the suits against the church.

I think that Desales is a breeding ground for molesters. Sorry. I am a product of their education.

I had a conversation with a Gay male, some time ago, who had been in the Seminary studying to be a Priest as a young man. He left the Seminary because he was Gay and felt it was the epidimy of hypocrisy to stay studying to be a Priest. He stated that there were more opportunities for Gay Sex in the seminary that out in the real world.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Gemini

It's easy to become distracted and confused because your mind is wandering about in all sorts of different directions. You're also in a highly impressionable state so will believe almost anything you're told now, whether it's true or a total flight of fancy. Be wary of muddling others by only telling them half the story or letting your imagination fill in any gaps.
