Thirty state park campgrounds are closed because of strong winds and flooding during Tropical Storm Andrea.

The first tropical storm of the Atlantic hurricane season got a little stronger Thursday as it headed toward Florida's western coast, bringing drenching rain to much of the state.

High winds and soaking rain started to fall on Florida as Tropical Storm Andrea rushed toward the swampy Big Bend on Thursday, but Floridians sounded unimpressed.
