This needs to be known that these police officers are making this little and that put their life on the line for every citizen. Whatever bias anyone has against the police, would probably be improved if the pay was better. Money doesn't provide happiness, but if you aren't paying people for a job what else do we expect? How would we be with just an "ordinary" job? I think a pay increase (if the national average of police officers is 45,000 a year) would be fine. They do a service, and a service most of us wouldn't do. This would at least show them that the communities respect their hard work.

I agree, most officers are under paid. I think Hayti made a bold move by raising there officers pay like they did, way to go Hayti you set the bar higher and now lets see who will folllow!
