Okreek Fire 100 Percent Contained
The Okreek fire is now said to be 100 percent contained. Crews were able to stop the fire at 17,500 acres.

The Winner Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire that originated South of Carter this afternoon at approximately 12:30pm. The fire has spread throughout this afternoon, and currently Highway 18, 1 mile east of Carter is back open, as is Highway 44 at the Tripp and Mellette County line.
