Abandoned house catches fire on New Year's Eve
On December 31, 2008 around 7:30 PM, the Dimmit County Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a fire of an abandoned house on 11th Street & Adams Street.
It took firefighters about 20 minutes to put out the entire blaze and as well as some few burning embers that were left on a tree next to the house.
Reason is not known as of how the fire was started as information was sketchy of the time we arrived.
On the scene there were two fire trucks, two EMS transports, and two Sheriff County deputies monitoring and taking action against the fire. On the side there were many spectators watching as well.
No injuries were reported.
