11 Latino students garner award
When Elizabeth Brito's name was called to accept recognition for being one of the top academic achievers in the state, her mother leaned into her husband and softly whispered, ''Look at her.''
Brito, an 18-year-old honor student at Roberto Clemente Charter School and the pride of her Dominican-born parents, Flavia and Ramon Brito, was one of 11 Allentown School District students to receive the Blue and White award.
