This is a little creepy. There is a ine between proud papa and exploitive narcissism. What's with the kick your butt stuff? Is she doing mud wrestling next? This is not favorable pr for this girl, Carmel High, Carmel and most certainly the dad. Mom, you need to step up to the plate and restore some balance here.

At least there wasn't the SI bikini beach shot that "graced" the Pine Cone cover. Maybe the dad needs to frolick in a Speedo a bit himself and get over it.

At least she has a dad who loves and supports her, that's what I took from the article. Good Luck and Best Wishes.

I'm pulling for a local girl making good. Victoria' Secret runway models are gorgeous, respected for the international brand they represent and envied for this exciting, coveted job. They are not the stereotypical emaciated runway models and the lingerie is worn/displayed in good taste. It's no worse than a bikini or other skimpy swimwear. Good luck, Jamielee.

"Where Vanity is a Virtue". Wilkes-Bashford may be gone from the Monterey Peninsula, but their position statement live on, "Where Vanity is A Virtue". I wish Jamie well, too. But the Dad 's pushiness and comments are a bit much and do not seem to serve Jamie in the long run. She will make it or not with her own specialness--it is readily available for all to see and judge.

Good luck Jamielee! You're beautiful. I hope you make it. Just remember to be humble when you do, people will love you more.
With beauty and success comes jealousy. Some of those folks are on this very forum. Ignore negativity, embrace optimism. Run from all pessimists like they're the plague.
You've already made Carmel and California proud.
Go for the gold... Good luck!

Good luck! Youi missed the point. I do hope she succeeds, but agree this will be a personal victory, it may sell a few more Pine Cones and Heralds, but it is a stretch to think this enhances Carmel High or Carmel in any way. In fact, as a resident I feel a little exploited, just as Mr 6 foot 8, kick your butt Dad seems to be doing for his ego, more than vfor Jaimee.

Let me get this straight--A college drop--out with a pushy. ego maniac dad gets his little girl on the front page of the Pine Cone and Herald tp help her sell the promise of sex for Victoria Secret (Check out their store). Sorry, not cool. There is a lot not right about this picture.

I know Jamielee and her dad personally. She has wanted to be a model since she was a little girl and her dad has supported her all the way. He is in no way a stage dad. The Victoria's Secret Competition is based on America's votes, so why not help his daughter make her dreams come true by enlisting some local support through local media? All of the contestants are using Facebook and Twitter to get voter's attention a few local outlets can go a long way, after all she just made the Top 2!!! Also to Huh's comment there is a difference between being a college drop out and someone who had to beg her unwilling dad to take time off so she could try to pursue a dream.
