Good thing he was traveling 50 mph, I mean usually I see those Sheriffs going too fast, I am so glad that they informed us that he was not speeding. Good thing they know right away how fast he was going. I mean really, I am so happy that he was not speeding and its great how quickly they know the actual mph he was traveling.

Right!

Deputy Nyland has done great things for this community. The Sheriff Department is usually cautious, especially at night in the valley. I do believe he was doing about 50. Many people have hit deer in the valley. I hope he gets better soon and comes back to patrol our community. He is an asset.

Right!
The cars have onboard cameras with GPS speed indicators. So really, he was doing 50. Keep buying the hype

I would like to personally thank Deputy Nyland for his service to the community. Crime doesnt pay with him always lurking around. I think he deserves a medal for putting his welfare over the deers. We need more deputies like Nyland. The other deputy with the moustache is nice too.

Is it unlawful for the law enforcement to talk on the phone while driving a law enforcement vehicle

A deer gets hit at 50 mph and the deer runs off? What kind of animal rights liberally crafted statement is that? No deer runs off after being hit a fifty miles per hour.

We are so lucky that Deputy Nyland was not hurt seriously. I hope the deer is also okay.
Most accidents involving large animals do not have this good of an outcome for both the human and animal.

Actually there is a provision in the law for emergency personnel to be able to use cell phones in the course of their duties.
