Preliminary reports indicate he targeted foreign built vehicles (e.g. German) and left the domestic ones. Friends say he was resentful over the superior quality of his neighbor's Audi over his Chevy. He felt it was un-American to not buy anything but GM and Ford; moreover, he often liked to re-up on quality beer (i.e. Bud Light, Miller) during the halftime of his favorite American Throwball game.
