Three shot overnight in Valley

goddamnit! o.k i get it now, crime is down except in the valley right? we had a triple shooting in pacoima last weekend (2 dead, one still in the hospital) and now 2 more are freaking dead in canoga park and one wounded in panorama city! thats 4 dead in less than a week! so what exactly are these gang interventionists doing to stop this madness? nothing! they aint doing nothing! thanks a lot villaragoza! stop waisting our tax dollars on these gang intervention bafoon's already!

That's exactly why I am moving to another State. Chased out by the scummy, violent losers that are allowed to roam the streets. The streets that i grew up on and now am afraid to drive down. You can keep the Valley, I'm out of here!

It's time the LAPD starting treating the gangs and the families that harbor them as what they are - domestic terrorists. Allowing this to be the status quo in Los Angeles seems to have become accepted. Unbelievable! I cannot stay here much longer - and I grew up here. Sad.

You can't fix stupid. Gangs will never die and no one can get rid of them. Gangs are idiots and they kill just because they like to do it. Its not Villaragosa's fault that he wants an end to the violence. Its part of his job to curb gangs because he's the Mayor. Gangs will keep killing each other for no reason and no one can stop them. Not even the police. Prison doesn't deter them either because their members are already in there so they'll just feel at home in there. If you ever talk to an active gang member, they will tell you that it doesn't matter if they get locked up in prison or die because they don't care. They think that they're better off dead or in prison. If Villaraigosa wasn't doing anything about gangs, you conservatives would say he's worthless. You always think he's wasting tax payer money, but he's trying to better the cities in L.A. County.

How many times a day is someone in challenged with that Socal question-to which there is no good or safe answer. It is against the very essence of American spirit and LAW to be challenged in that manner-even police cannot subject a person to that. But we continue to treat GANGS as misguided youth instead of the TERRORIST they actually are. Forty years in criminal justice work convinces me that the tradition social work methods are not sufficient todeal with the danger these terrorists present. Middle class folks cannot imagine how stressful it is to live with the threat of being caught 6 blocks from your house and possibly killed for your misstep. BobC

It is sad to see the state that I loved go down the toilet because of these friggen gangbangers.Its white as rice here and very safe. Sure there is crime but not to that degree.

Excellent point! Police cannot ask anyone where they are from. Special Order 40 or some such garbage. But as you say, the rest of us are subjected to the street terrorists' whims when they ask us the very same question.
Of course, there is an answer. "Special Order 40 Caliber". It's just the bleeding hearts among us can't deal with it. I wonder if they'd change their minds if they started becoming victims themselves.
There will be a war in our streets. We can thank our government for making it happen since they are not protecting us as it is their duty to do so.

Idaho sounds good, but I hear you have your share of white supremacists which are just as bad as gangbangers here. Same shet, different color.

If I was a public office holder I would vote to do away with the gang intervention programs, and use that money to hire, and flood the streets with a strong police force to curb this gang violence.
You intentionally disreard how precious the safety of our children and family memers are to us.

Active gang members are terrorist who have been brainwashed into thinking that gangbanging is all they can and should do because they were raised that way. Nonsense. Anyone can leave a gang. All you have to do is shut your mouth and pack up and leave out of your neighborhood and go to another state where there is no connection to your "hood". I'm tired of hearing the bad excuse of "I can't leave my gang life behind because I'm in it for life". If you have a felony you're pretty much stuck. Unless you don't have a serious criminal record, you can move some where and actually get a job. Don't make any foolish excuses. Your gang doesn't care about you. They just say they care because that's how they brainwash you to be a loser like them.

In a couple of decades there will be very few educated middle class taxpayers left, and the city and state will consist almost entirely of uneducated illegals or legalized illegals, welfare bums, and other assorted tax-taking riff raff that Obama and his ilk pander to.

This is why illegal immigrants have to go people. This is who they are, and this is who they raise.....people who harass, torture, and kill regular tax paying Americans because they are nothing but primitive wild animals. The problem is that the gangbangers have rights too. At least that's the premise that the police and the mayor and every other government offical has to operate under. You don't have to though. Stop calling the police when you have a ganbanger in your house robbing you or raping you wife. They don't give a sh it. Gangbangers don't bring in revenue. Giving a working taxpayer brings in revenue - remember that.
Instead just excercise your right to protect your family and your property and cut the little piece of sh it up and bury his as s in the dessert on your way to that weekend in Vegas. The laws don't protect the American public from people with no accountability and no means. Stop assuming that anyone is out there that gives a sh it about you and your problems. Take back America for Americans and for yourself. Its a Do-it-yourself project. If you're not willing to do that then just bend over and stop whining. Remember that the level of crime and injustice in a society or community is directly proportional to the level of tolerance within that society/community. What makes you folks on here think that these gang members are automatically illegal immigrants? The article didn't mention anything about the nationality of the individuals but you folks are assuming that they are illegal immigrants. Most gangs are American citizens, not immigrants. Only a small percentage of the gang population are illegal immigrants. What's the big deal about you folks hating illegal immigrants anyway? Most of the immigrants work harder than most of us citizens anyway. By the way, immigrants are not only Mexicans, they are Japenese, Chinese, Armenian, Russian, African, South American, etc.
