Car overturned in pond off Hopewell Road
Michael King, 41, of Falls of Rough, was travelling on Hopewell Road, approximately 9 miles west of Caneyville when, according to the report filed by Deputy Buck Meredith of the Grayson County Sheriff's Department, he ran off the the side of the road and clipped a mailbox.
County's new one-call system now in jeopardy
Funding for the one-call system the Grayson County Fiscal Court voted to purchase last month may be in jeopardy because of a simple lack of communication within the local governments.
Fire Chief Anthony Clark said firefighters were called to 207 W. Maple St., Lot 16, shortly after 8 a.m. The fire apparently started in the dining room and was contained there, but the entire home had smoke damage, he said.

SFC James T. Bell retired, 62, of Caneyville passed away Monday, April 23, 2012 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
