Winds from Friday's storm wreaked havoc in area

Sedgewickville was hit so hard by the storm on Friday, It looks like a war zone, but no one was hurt. My house took a beating, but it still stands. Makes a feller stop and realize how quickly something like this can happen, and how little control we have. I'll get the trees removed and will miss the shade in my yard, and somehow I will find the money to get the roof replaced, just thankful I suppose, since it could have been so much worse. On a good note, we got power back today, thanks BREC!!!

Keep up the positive outlook. Sounds like you've got some work ahead of you. We went through that with the ice storm. Everything can be fixed and replaced . It takes a while. Glad to hear everybody's doing okay.

I can repair your roof if you need or put a new one on. GLAD TO HEAR KNOW ONE WAS HURT.

Well, since "AFRIEND" didn't show up to put a new roof on for me, I had to beat the bushes to get one.LOL I am happy to report that it was completed earlier this week and looks great. Still a lot of work to do, but it can and will be done. Since the storm in May, I am a changed person, things were not in priority, as I left things undone and worried about how to get them done. My outlook is better, and I am planning a full assault on the remaining damage (as money allows) I guess what I am saying is simple--we are never fully in control, but a way is made for us if we are patient. I am very happy not to live in a convertable house anymore, but one with a new shiny roof, built to keep the elements out.

Too bad the Lord had to send that wind to punish you.

"Punishment" is His to do as He will, Everyone needs to be humbled from time to time, and I accept that. My faith did not waver through all this, although I wondered "Why?" It is taken care of, and we move on from here. "Punishment" was heaped upon many of us here in this strange small town, but we move on, PEACE!!

Now that the Lord has humbled you for all of your transgressions, perhaps you are a better person and will be able to live a better life from here on out. Call on Him for forgiveness and help! Thank you, Jesus! Thy will be done!
