With CSU cutting enrollment by 40,000; tuition costs going up, financial aid being cut etc., now it is time to finally bury the so-called (& misnamed) "Dream Act," an undisguised amnesty scheme and giveway to illegal aliens in our universities.

Dream Act proponents will repeat ad nauseum that we "shouldn't punish the kids for the actions of their parents." But what they don't mention is that rewarding illegal alien students with in-state tution and precious and increasingly scarce college seats rewards the illegal actions of their parents and will encourage more illegal immigration.

The fault here lies with the illegal alien parents who snuck into our country illegally or overstayed their visas. They should get in line, apply for citizenship, and obey our laws if they wish to be citizens of our great country.
The goal is employment

All the California colleges and universities need to cut out the majors and related coursework that doesn't lead to employment. A few things that come to mind are the feminist & various ethnic studies, communications, sociology, anthropology, etc. A few classes in these topics is one thing, but building an entire curriculum around a subject that won't prepare you for the workforce is a waste of money when we are turning away students who want to use the education to be productive.

And get rid of the DREAM act also.

Shame on Sacramento for making campuses have to make such difficult decisions. I am sure every campus in the CSU and UC will have to make academic program cuts.

Why are we paying full-ride fees for the children of those who aren't getting into this country legally? I have nothing against 'study-abroad' programs for those who wish to study here, but come into this country legally.

Leave it to those who are bitter to blame their failures and losses on illegals! If you're you or your kids feels that illegals have misplaced you, think of what that really means, it means that you have not acquired the skills to compete!! haha, plain and simple, you wanted capitalism, you got it, stop being whining wh0res!

Each student needs to show identification by thumbprint. Too many "same surname" students are taking tests for others & enrolling in courses for relatives and friends. Sometimes they show up for classes other times their cousin does.

How do I know this - I've seen it happen, I've heard them laughing behind our backs at what they think is our stupidity & if they can get away with it I guess they're right.

As for you, Liberal Tim, you need to stay focused on the subject matter.

It is SOOOOOO obvious that the ONLY misplaced thing here is "TIM".
What is misplaced here you say, "TIM'S BRAIN", that is if he ever had one. The only whinny whore here should be "TIM" who talks about things that he has little or no knowledge about, how sad.

Hey Tim, go down to the local drug store and buy yourself a smart pill, it may or may not help you. Posting crap like you did is of no use to anyone.

Daily Horoscope for December 15

Cancer

You've got high hopes about someone or something today, and you're confident that everything will turn out well. If a positive attitude is a guarantee of a positive outcome then you have nothing to worry about. But is it? There's a chance that you're being far too optimistic, and confusing fantasy with fact. If so, you'll be in for a big disappointment.
