Part-time officer in Saxonburg elected as sheriff
Republican Mike Slupe will be Butler County's next sheriff. In Tuesday's election, Slupe, 44, a political newcomer, posted a better than 2-1 margin over fellow newcomer Roland Livermore, 39, according to unofficial election totals.
