I loved him for what he was and what he believed in. I am a former firfighter who met him when I moved to Calera. He was always there to give me advice on all kinds of subjects. I could just show up without an appointment and he would always see me. Calera has lost a major asset and friend. One of the kindest men I have ever known and a true brave firefighter. I will miss him.
