N.J. loansharks take restaurant customers' credit card numbers as payment in scam
A New Jersey loansharking operation that lent millions to struggling restaurants in Essex, Morris and Passaic counties began taking patrons' credit card information when the restaurants couldn't make loan repayments, investigators said today in announcing a sweep of arrests.
