Little Miami school administrators, teachers and staff have begun planing for the 2012-2013 school year following the Fiscal Planning and Steering Commission's vote on March 29 to permit the return of some services and the reopening of Butlerville and Maineville Elementary Schools.

The Little Miami Board of Education will be having a special meeting to discuss possible resolutions with the state's Fiscal Planning and Steering Commission at 4 p.m. today.

The Little Miami Local School Board will try a second time to gain approval from the state to return every day half day kindergarten programming, return special classes and to reopen Butlerville and Maineville Elementary schools at its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, March 20.

Maineville Elementary School is one of two schools the Little Miami Local School District board and administration had planned to reopen for the 2012-13 school year following passage of the operating levy.

Little Miami Local School District Board of Education members voted Tuesday to move forward with a reconfiguration plan for the 2012-13 school year and to reopen Butlerville and Maineville elementary schools.
