KANSAS CITY, Mo. a ' The Missouri State Highway Patrol says two drivers died over the weekend when they lost control on snow-covered roads in Bates County.

A weather-related crash has killed a western Missouri man. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said David R. Bukaty of Butler was killed Saturday night when he lost control of his vehicle on an ice- and snow-covered stretch of a Bates County road.

A brother and sister were shot and killed and young girl injured before the suspect turned the gun on himself.

A Butler man is dead following a one-car wreck Saturday night in Bates County. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, David R. Bukaty was pronounced dead at the scene of an accident on Rice Road, a half-mile east of Wright Road, in which Bukaty lost control of a 2003 Dodge on the ice- and snow-covered road.
