DeKalb County Sheriff's Department were tipped off to a large grow operation in the 6800 bock of CR 34 near Butler.

BUTLER, Ind. - Over 100 marijuana plants of difference sizes and maturity were confiscated by the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department, according to a report.

BUTLER, Ind. -- A community came together Saturday to show their support for a police officer who nearly lost his life on the job.

Butler firefighters responded to 13 calls for service Jan. 15-20. The following is a brief summary of those calls, as provided by fire department officials.

Police make arrests Nathan L. Nichols, 18, of the 2500 block of C.R .59, Butler, was arrested at 9:45 p.m. Jan.

According to a DeKalb County Sheriff's report, Vicki Richmond, 41, Butler, was traveling north on County Road 59 near County Road 52 when she moved over towards the shoulder to allow more passing room for an oncoming vehicle.
