Collins Bus Corporation announced the SafeGuard XChange seat that allows school bus operators to retrofit a base bench seat into one with three-point lap/shoulder belts will be standard on all Collins, Mid Bus and Corbeil model Type A school buses.

Jan. 17--BURRTON -- Twenty fire and EMS units from six departments extinguished a wildfire in Harvey County about four miles north of Burrton on Tuesday.

Close to a dozen emergency units were on the scene. The call of the fire came in around 11:46 a.m. Dispatchers say they don't know how large the fire was but that no homes or structures are being threatened.

IMMI, an Indiana-based manufacturer, on Friday announced plans to open a new manufacturing plant in Burrton, west of Newton.
