A 32-year-old Burrton man crashed a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle Sunday morning on Kansas Highway 177 at milepost 26.2 in Chase County, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for portions of Harvey, Marion and McPherson counties until 8:15 p.m. A strong thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Burrton shortly before 7:45 p.m. and was moving northeast at 40 miles an hour.

Burrton students organize a simulated car crash, in the hopes that their peers will take the experience to heart and pay attention when behind the wheel.
